As the virtual conference begins, put up directions to all members that they need to scavenge three items from around their room that match three particular conditions. Here’s some good conditions you could use, but feel free to create your own!

…comes from the longest away.
…doesn’t belong to you, and tell us why you have it.

…you think everyone ought to have, but doesn’t.”
Once everyone has entered and had an opportunity to scavenge the items, start the conference with a round of introductions. As well as providing their name, job title, and whatever other standard pieces of info you ask for, ask each participant to introduce the objects they’ve found too, and why it meets the criterion you gave before. You’ll get to hear some amazing stories that will give a far better insight into each participant’s personality than the standard bland virtual event entertainment options!
