As the online meeting begins, put up directions to all participants that they need to grab three objects from around their room that match three particular criteria. Here’s some possible conditions you could use, but you can also create more!

…you think everyone should own, but doesn’t.”
Once everyone has arrived and had an opportunity to find the items, begin the conference with a round of introductions. As well as announcing their name, job title, and whatever other standard pieces of information you request, ask each person to introduce the items they’ve found too, and why it meets the criterion you set out above. You’ll get to listen to some amazing stories that will provide a far better insight into each person’s character than the standard boring virtual event entertainment options!
